Site Types & Schema Types

Overview

AI Boost publishes your site as one primary Schema.org type. There are 36 to choose from. The choice does two things and only two: it decides which Schema.org type is published, and it decides which fields the Structured Data screen shows you. It does not switch other settings on or off, and there is nothing to "apply" — you pick a type and save.

There are two places to set it:

  • Quick Setup asks for it as part of the guided first configuration.
  • Structured Data → General & Business has the Schema Type picker, and you can change it there at any time.

The two generic site types

Local BusinessLocalBusinessAny business with a physical address customers visit

Both come with the full identity block — name, description, logo, contact details, address, geo coordinates and social profiles — plus opening hours.

Pro also unlocks the type-specific detail properties that go with them — a hotel's star rating and check-in times, a restaurant's cuisine and menu URL, a clinic's medical speciality — along with services, the aggregate rating block, and FAQ, HowTo, Event and Author schema.

If a specific type is stored on a site with no active licence

Nothing is lost and nothing breaks. The site publishes the nearest generic type instead: a restaurant, hotel or clinic is published as LocalBusiness and keeps its opening hours; a news organisation or a personal profile is published as Organization. The Structured Data screen states plainly which type is actually being published, so the dropdown never shows one thing while the page emits another. Your stored choice is untouched and comes back the moment a Pro licence is active.

Changing your mind

Change the Schema Type whenever you like — it takes effect on the next page load, and every field you have filled in stays where it is. Fields that do not apply to the new type are simply not shown and not published.
