AI Boost for Joomla is an SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) extension for Joomla 5 and 6. You set it up in one admin component, and it writes what search engines and AI assistants read, namely Schema.org JSON-LD, an XML sitemap, OpenGraph and X cards, its own section of robots.txt, and llms.txt. You do not need to write code.

Most SEO extensions cover meta tags, redirects and a sitemap. AI Boost covers those and also writes signals for AI search. It has Schema.org for 36 site types and finds FAQs in your articles. It publishes llms.txt, tells search engines about new and updated articles through IndexNow, and lets AI search crawlers in through robots.txt. Search engines and assistants read those signals and do not have to guess your content from the page.

Joomla 5 and 6. Joomla 4 is not supported. An active licence includes updates for new Joomla releases.

PHP 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5. The minimum is 8.1, and we recommend 8.3 or newer.

Yes. AI Boost adds its output through a system plugin, so the template that draws your pages makes no difference. Content you build in the YOOtheme Pro builder is another matter. Turning it into structured data needs the YOOtheme extension, included in every plan, which you switch on in Extensions.

Download the pkg_aiboost package from your account at aiboostnow.com/account. In your Joomla administrator, go to System, then Install, then Extensions, open the Upload Package File tab and upload the ZIP. The package switches its plugin on, so there is nothing to enable. Then open Components, then AI Boost. Everything visitors see starts switched off, so your pages do not change until you switch a part on.

The usual causes are a PHP version below 8.1, a low upload size limit on your host, or file permissions on the Joomla plugins folder. If the Extension Manager shows an error, send it to [email protected] and we will help.

Yes. AI Boost runs on localhost and on staging sites. On a staging or development copy, switch on "Publish nothing at all" in the Publishing card on the Dashboard. AI Boost then stops publishing every tag, file, feed and robots.txt line it adds on that site, so the copy cannot compete with your live site. Every setting is kept. Switch it off again when the site goes live.

AI Boost builds the JSON-LD, the sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt on your own server, so no outside service sits between a visitor and a page. It loads no third-party scripts in the browser except the analytics tags you switch on, such as GA4, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel.

Yes. Schema.org is a shared vocabulary (Organization, LocalBusiness, LodgingBusiness, Article, FAQPage, Event and more) that helps search engines and AI assistants understand your content. AI Boost writes it as JSON-LD on each page. You pick your site type from 36 Schema.org types and fill in your organisation's details, and each page gets one JSON-LD graph. You write no code.

No. AI Boost serves an XML sitemap at yoursite.com/sitemap.xml with your published articles, categories and menu items. It changes as you publish or edit content, and once your site passes 2,000 URLs it splits into a sitemap index. It can also carry image entries, Google News and tag pages. You can leave a single article, category or menu item out, from its row on the Pages screen. The Multilang extension, included in every plan, adds hreflang links once you switch it on.

llms.txt is a plain-text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that describes your site and its key pages in a form AI assistants can read. It is included, together with a Markdown copy of each article, category and tag page and /llms-full.txt, which carries the text of your articles. It is a new convention for AI agents and not a ranking signal. Google has said it does not use llms.txt, and no other engine has said whether it reads it.

IndexNow tells the engines that take part, such as Bing, Yandex and Seznam, the moment you publish or update a page. Google does not take part. On the AI Discovery screen you switch on IndexNow and its automatic submission, and press Generate for a key. AI Boost serves the key file and submits an article's address when you publish or update it, so the engines can pick the page up before their next crawl. It is included in every plan.

Yes. AI Boost adds its own fields to the article editor, where you can set an OpenGraph image, title or description for that article. They win over the site-wide defaults. An article without them uses the defaults, and its own image if it has one.

Yes, through the Multilang extension, included in every plan. Once you switch it on in Extensions, it gives each language its own values and hreflang links in the head and the sitemap, with Joomla's own languages or with Falang. While it is off, AI Boost publishes one set of values for the whole site.

AI Boost has a rule ready for each of 25 AI crawlers, among them GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and Applebot-Extended, and for 12 SEO scrapers such as AhrefsBot and SemrushBot. Every one starts at Allow, and you block them one at a time or a whole group at once. AI Boost keeps one marked section at the end of your robots.txt and never touches a line you wrote there. In it, a crawler is named only when you block it. While the whole file, your own lines included, lets every AI search and answer crawler in, one comment says AI Boost lets them read the site, and a Content-Signal line states how your content may be used. Block is a request, and a crawler that ignores robots.txt takes a firewall to stop.

There are three plans, AI Boost PRO, PRO+ and Unlimited. Every plan has every feature. They differ only in how many sites one licence can be active on at once. The pricing page has the prices.

Yes. Every plan is billed yearly. A licence pays for a year of updates, email support and compatibility with future Joomla, PHP and third-party releases.

Nothing switches off. Once your licence key has been verified on a site, its features stay on for that installation, and a reinstall of the same site keeps them. Updates, support and compatibility with future Joomla, PHP and third-party releases stop. A new purchase brings them back.

A licence can be active on as many sites at once as its plan allows. To move a licence to another site, email [email protected] and we'll free the place for you.

Not at the moment. AI Boost is sold as one product, every plan has every feature, and the plans differ only in how many sites you activate.

After you order a plan, we email you a link to your account at aiboostnow.com/account, where your licence key and downloads are. If you cannot get in, email [email protected] from the address you bought with.

In AI Boost's own table in your Joomla database. Updates keep them, and a normal Joomla database backup includes them. The Backup & Migration screen also exports them to one file.

From AI Boost 1.1.0, an uninstall keeps your settings, your licence key, your redirect rules and Multilang's translations in your database, so a reinstall on the same site finds them as you left them. It removes AI Boost's files, the 404 log, the error log and the scan results on the Pages screen. The structured data, the sitemap, the social tags and llms.txt stop at once. The site still counts towards your licence until support frees its place. Version 1.0.x removed the settings, the licence key and the redirect rules too, so update a 1.0.x site to 1.1.0 before you uninstall. The uninstall guide has the rest.

No. AI Boost has no public REST API and works through Joomla's own events. If you need to start something like an IndexNow submission from outside Joomla, write to [email protected] and tell us what you need.

AI Boost for Joomla ships as a standard Joomla installation package of PHP files and assets, so the code is on your server. The End User Licence Agreement sets the terms that apply to it. For questions about changing or integrating it, write to [email protected].
