Changelog

What’s new in AI Boost for Joomla.

Version 1.1.4

26 October 2026
  • Your pages, Site Health and the Dashboard say only what holds. An event can be called off, share cards carry only what Open Graph defines, and Site Health names the one analytics ID that does not work. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Added

  • An article in your events category has an Event Status field. Set it to Cancelled, Postponed or Rescheduled and the event's structured data says so. Left on Default, the event is published as scheduled.
  • The plain-text copy of a page names that page's canonical address in a Link header, so a crawler reading the copy knows which address to credit.
  • Site Health says when another extension serves your news sitemap address.

Improved

  • Site Health warns, instead of reporting a problem, when one analytics ID is refused and another works, and names the refused ID. Measuring visits on the Dashboard lists only the tools that hold an ID AI Boost can use.
  • The Dashboard shows IndexNow as off when it has no key yet or automatic sending is off, and says which.
  • OG Type offers Default, Article, Website, Video and Song. An article saved with Product now shares as an article, and one saved with Video as video.other.
  • The Event check on Pages advises only an end date, and no longer a price or an image.
  • With Search Engine Friendly URLs off, the canonical address drops nc, gbraid, wbraid, srsltid, _ga and every hsa_ parameter, so an ad click or a cache-buster no longer makes a second address for one page.
  • On update, AI Boost sets the options of its own list fields back to its list. To show them in another language, use Joomla's Language Overrides or Falang, which the update leaves as they are.

Fixed

  • Share cards no longer carry article:author, which Open Graph defines as a profile address, not a name.
  • Site Health no longer says who writes a sitemap that is missing.

Version 1.1.3

22 October 2026
  • AI search and answer crawlers can read your site as soon as you install or update, and AI Access names every block that keeps your pages out of an AI answer. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Added

  • On install and on update, AI Boost switches on Let AI Boost write into robots.txt and the usage signals once, and answers Yes for search indexing and real-time AI answers. AI model training and every crawler you blocked stay as you left them. If you switch robots.txt off afterwards, it stays off.
  • robots.txt carries one comment saying AI Boost lets AI search and answer crawlers read the site. It is written only while the whole file, your own lines included, lets them in. The Robots.txt screen says AI Boost switched robots.txt on until you save a change there.
  • Five crawlers join AI Crawler Rules. Amzn-SearchBot and MistralAI-Index read for AI search, Amzn-User and MistralAI-User fetch a page a person asked for, and MistralAI-Training collects pages for training. That makes 25 AI crawlers.
  • AI Access reports a Problem when robots.txt blocks Googlebot or Applebot, and says what it costs: Google Search and AI Overviews, or Siri and Spotlight answers.
  • AI Access says when your site answers through Cloudflare, whose bot settings can stop a crawler that robots.txt allows.

Improved

  • Google-Extended now says it decides whether Gemini trains on your pages and uses them in Gemini app answers. A block on it stays For information on AI Access, which adds that Google Search and AI Overviews are not affected.
  • AI Access counts nosnippet and noarchive on your home page as Problems, in the page or in a response header, and reads a tag written for one crawler, such as a googlebot meta tag asking for noindex.

Version 1.1.2

21 October 2026
  • Your sitemap, llms.txt and IndexNow list only pages a visitor can open, and the admin says plainly what it does and what it cannot do. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Added

  • robots.txt names your news sitemap while it is on, and XML Sitemap shows its address with a copy button.
  • Backup & Migration keeps a record of the last twenty imports, with the settings and redirect rules each one changed or refused.
  • Before an import, the preview names each setting it cannot take as written.
  • Four AI crawlers join AI Crawler Rules, each as its vendor describes it: OAI-AdsBot, Perplexity-User, meta-webindexer and meta-externalfetcher. FacebookBot leaves the list, and Amazonbot moves to training.

Improved

  • A page you set to index by hand keeps that answer when a noindex rule on Page SEO comes to cover it. Page SEO asks whether to apply the rule to those pages too. A page that was kept out of search this way until now can come back into search after the update.
  • A category, tag, menu page or home page set to noindex leaves the sitemap, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, as an article already did.
  • On Pages ▸ Overview, Not listed on a category warns that it also takes out what is inside it, and a Listed answer a rule overrules shows that rule.
  • On a site installed in a sub-folder, AI Boost says that crawlers never read its robots.txt and gives you the lines to copy to the root of your domain. With Search Engine Friendly URLs off, it says the sitemap and AI files can list no articles.
  • Site Health names an analytics ID AI Boost cannot use as a problem, and its Help says which rows are read from your settings.
  • Help texts no longer promise what Google or AI assistants do not document, for llms.txt, usage signals, events, breadcrumbs and video.

Fixed

  • IndexNow sends only articles a guest can read, at their sitemap address, sends edits made on the front end, and announces a removed or moved article.
  • The Canonical URL Map acts only while canonical URL management is on, and an address it points elsewhere leaves the sitemap.
  • With Multilang, a page in another language shares that language's default image.
  • An image stored at another address, such as a CDN, keeps that address in the image sitemap.
  • The return policy names its country the way Google reads it.
  • With AI Boost's comments hidden, Site Health still warns when a YOOtheme tag is not linked to the consent banner.

Version 1.1.0

19 October 2026
  • Two extensions, Multilang and YOOtheme, come with every plan at no extra price. Uninstalling now keeps what you wrote. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Added

  • Multilang and YOOtheme install switched off, and you switch each one on from the Extensions screen once the site is activated.
  • Multilang links every language version of a page with hreflang, and carries translated content from Falang or Joomla's associations into the structured data, the share card, the sitemap and the AI files.
  • YOOtheme turns the galleries, videos, events and FAQ accordions you marked into structured data. With Auto-Detect FAQ from Content on, an accordion whose every title is a question becomes FAQ without a mark.
  • While you edit a page in YOOtheme's customizer, the preview carries nothing from AI Boost, so your editing does not count as visits in the Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager or Meta Pixel tags AI Boost adds. Visitors get the page as before.
  • On a YOOtheme site your Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Meta Pixel tags can wait for consent. Link a tag in YOOtheme's Consent Manager and the banner releases it once the visitor allows it.

Improved

  • Uninstalling keeps your settings, the licence key, the redirect rules and Multilang's translations, so a reinstall finds them. Only the logs go.
  • Site Health, the Dashboard and the import report say more plainly what is missing and why.

Fixed

  • Fixes to the sitemap, llms.txt and canonical addresses, and to the admin on small screens.

Version 1.0.2

12 October 2026
  • Lighter headings, and crawler texts that promise only what robots.txt can do. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Improved

  • Headings, labels, tabs and table headings across the admin are a step lighter, so a screen no longer reads as a wall of bold.
  • Robots.txt ▸ AI Crawler Rules no longer says live-browsing crawlers keep nothing. It says ChatGPT-User may ignore a Block, because OpenAI says robots.txt rules may not apply when a person asked for the page.
  • The training group no longer says that blocking it leaves you untouched in AI answers. Nobody can promise that.
  • Robots.txt ▸ Usage Signals and the Robots.txt help page say that a Block is a request too. Most crawlers honour it, and some do not.

Fixed

  • On Pages ▸ Overview, the reason under a cell wraps inside its own column instead of running under the next one.

Version 1.0.1

4 October 2026
  • Fixes for Pages, Redirects & 404s, Site Health and Debug. Update from System ▸ Update ▸ Extensions in Joomla.

Improved

  • Pages ▸ Site read no longer offers a setting for a noindex your server sends, and it sorts an address it could not read by what it got back: an answer with no page to read, no answer at all, or another site.
  • The Pages table says why a page is hidden. Check addresses wraps a long address and says how many addresses Load every address I publish put in the box.
  • Every admin screen shows a Cyrillic address in Cyrillic letters.
  • With robots management off, a screen reader still reads every crawler name in the crawler lists.
  • After the update, the custom fields AI Boost adds carry their full "AI Boost: …" names, and their default options read in full.
  • A busy button shows one spinner and keeps its width.

Fixed

  • A redirect created from a 404 on a Cyrillic address now catches that address.
  • A redirect target with a %, a space or a control character is sent encoded.
  • Site Health says when a sampled article or the home page answered 404.
  • llms-full.txt: Full index takes page copies only from the address an administrator recorded, so a forged Host header fetches nothing.
  • Only a Super User can reset the settings or read Debug's server details, error log and support bundle.
  • The reset that removes the licence also clears Joomla's Download Key, so updates stop, as the reset says.
  • Site read says "1 page", not "1 pages".

Version 1.0.0

2 October 2026
  • The first release of AI Boost for Joomla, for Joomla 5 and 6 on PHP 8.1 or later. Version numbers start here.

Added

  • Ten tool pages: Dashboard, Site Health, Extensions, AI Access, Pages, Redirects & 404s, Backup & Migration, Debug, Plan & Updates and Help & Support.
  • Updates through Joomla's own update screen, for a site activated with its licence key.
